State Championship Highlights: NorCal & Tennessee Crown Their Fall Rugby Champions

As the fall season continues to bring fast-paced competition across the country, two major rugby states—Northern California and Tennessee—closed out their November 8th action with standout performances, new champions, and programs rising to the occasion on championship day.

🏉 Northern California (NorCal) Rugby Championships

Northern California wrapped up its fall girls’ competition with two well-earned titles that showcased the region’s depth and development in youth rugby.

  • 🏆 Cup Champions: C.K. McClatchy Lady Lions (Sacramento)
    The Lady Lions continued their strong tradition with a dominant performance, securing the top spot in the Cup division.

  • 🏆 Bowl Champions: Edison Tigers (Fresno)
    Edison’s energy and consistency propelled them to the Bowl Championship, highlighting the growing strength of Central Valley rugby.



With competitive play and growing participation, NorCal’s fall slate proved once again why the region remains one of the premier rugby communities in the country.

🏉 Tennessee State Rugby Championships

Tennessee delivered a full day of high-intensity rugby, crowning champions across both girls’ and boys’ divisions. Programs from across the state demonstrated impressive skill, teamwork, and resilience.

Girls State Championships

  • 🥇 Gold Medalists: Father Ryan

  • 🥈 Silver Medalists: Columbia Central

  • 🥉 Bronze Medalists: Lady Raptors

Father Ryan took home the top honor behind a well-rounded performance, while Columbia Central and the Lady Raptors completed the podium after a competitive bracket.

Boys State – CUP Division

  • 🥇 Gold Medalists: Father Ryan

  • 🥈 Silver Medalists: Raptors A

  • 🥉 Bronze Medalists: Knoxville Youth Rugby

Father Ryan secured a second championship of the day—this time in the Boys Cup division—solidifying their status as one of the state’s strongest all-around programs.

Boys State – OPEN Division

  • 🥇 Gold Medalists: Inner City Rugby of Nashville

  • 🥈 Silver Medalists: Raptors B

  • 🥉 Bronze Medalists: Sumner Rugby

Inner City Rugby captured the Open division title with an impressive showing, followed closely by Raptors B and Sumner Rugby.
