USA Youth & High School Rugby in partnership with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), is proud to bring a virtual coaching workshop, titled Culture Building: Honoring the Game. The session will take place on Wednesday, September 23 at 8:00 PM ET via Zoom.
Building a Positive Culture on and off the Field
This interactive workshop expands on PCA's culture principle, Honoring the Game, and equips coaches with practical tools to build a positive sports culture with their athletes. Coaches who attend will learn the Positive Culture Essentials, a set of tools designed to help coaches intentionally shape a team environment that supports athlete satisfaction, a sense of belonging, resilience, and performance.
During the session, coaches will:
- Identify the benefits of building a positive culture
- Learn the Positive Culture Essentials
- Apply the Positive Culture Essentials through real world scenarios
A strong team culture gives athletes access to the full range of benefits that sports can provide, from leadership development to healthy relationships and improved mental wellness. For youth and high school rugby programs, where coaches often play an outsized role in shaping a player's early experience with the sport, this kind of intentional culture building can make a lasting difference.
Continued Support Beyond the Workshop
Coaches who attend won't just walk away with a single session. PCA will follow up with an email series that reinforces the workshop content and provides additional resources for building a positive team culture. Attendees will also gain access to PCA Picks, a monthly resource focused newsletter, and Ask PCA, a question and answer service staffed by PCA's education team.
